NOTHING LIKE IT

Mostly towards
The autumn sunsets
Against the calm sea
Under the cloudless sky
While sipping my well brewed
Lapsang Souchong tea
Out of the blue
Into the rosy
Sad and sincere sounds
Of the locomotive horns
Keep on reminding me
That the railfans have always
Loved the train trips
Because for them
There is no beatitude
Or fulfillment like it
Anywhere on the planet Earth
As they ride the robust
And roaring Iron Horses
Down the adventurous tracks
To reach safe and sound
A charming boutique railroad hotel
Between two train towns.
