Poems below from: Legend of the Incredible Flutist

I do not carve these words for posterity
But for you, fairest maiden
That you may feel my love with your fingers
Even in the darkness of this cavern
Where appearances are hidden
Revealing the sound of your lovely voice
And illuminating the essence of your being
Which needs no sunlight to shine

I confess I was aided by candlelight
But blew out the candle in anticipation
As I would if I could pass the night with you
Not out of modesty
But to help me just listen to you
Following the sound of your breath
As the darkness brings us closer together
Foreshadowing the dawn

Words roll off your tongue, cunningly
As if you were a true troubadour
But what have you really found
You hoist me on a pedestal
Praising my beauty
As if I were a slave
Driving up the price for me
To line your pockets

Flattery comes naturally to you
For you play with language
While others toil
Putting their hands to good use
So set aside your pen
And make a meal that I will long remember
Like a night of lovemaking
And I will test your mettle with my tongue
