The sun, a molten coin, descends the sky,
Across the sapphire, where the waves do sigh.
Olive groves whisper secrets, old and deep,
Where ancient stones in slumber softly sleep.
A terracotta roof, a blush upon the hill,
Reflects the golden light, a final thrill.
The salty air, a kiss upon the cheek,
Of sun-drenched shores, where secrets softly speak.
The cypress trees, like sentinels so tall,
Stand guard above, against the fading thrall.
Of azure skies, where clouds in whispers drift,
And gentle breezes, secrets softly lift.
Across the Aegean, where the waters gleam,
A symphony of colours, a vibrant dream.
The fishermen return, their nets so full,
Of treasures from the sea, a vibrant pull.
From sun-baked beaches, where the sand is fine,
To ancient ruins, etched in time’s design.
The Mediterranean’s heart, a vibrant beat,
A timeless beauty, exquisitely sweet.
The scent of jasmine, carried on the breeze,
A fragrant whisper, through the olive trees.
The moon ascends, a pearl upon the night,
And casts its silver glow, a soft, pure light.
So breathe it in, this magic, rich and bold,
The Mediterranean’s story, ages old.
An azure embrace, forever to remain,
A timeless wonder, a celestial strain.
